When you hear the advice ‘ask for help’ what comes to mind? Do you roll your eyes? Do you panic?
Does your mind go directly to all the people who’ve already let you down or who you can’t trust?

First, take a deep breath – inhale deeply, exhale slowly.

#blkcreatives (pronounced hashtag Black creatives) is here to help. We are a support network built to keep smart, talented, and skillful Black creatives from giving up on themselves. Our mission is to create sustainable pathways to resources for Black creatives and provide them with personal, professional, creative and economic support.

Our single declaration for Black creatives this year is that we want all of us to gain, receive, and walk in CLARITY. And you know a great way to get on the path to clarity? Asking for help. As a creative, there’s a myth that asking for help means that you are weak, incompetent, and incapable.

That is completely false.

And as a creative, you do not have to struggle – you can and should be able to ask for help. In fact, learning how can be a game changer and our workshop will give you insight on how to do just that.

On Wednesday, March 16th at 7pm EST – join our How To Ask For Help workshop.
